A shallow trough lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is inflowing in high levels from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel during the night NE 12-22 knots. In the South Adriatic SE winds 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
