SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is inflowing in high levels from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and NE winds 5-15 knots. In the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic NW winds 10-20 knots. In places of the North Adriatic NE winds 12-24 knots, mainly in the Velebit Channel. Along the coast of the South Adriatic SE winds 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
