SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north. A low with its centre near Sardinia is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE wind 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Elsewhere NE, locally in the open E and SE winds 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the North Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20 km. In the open sea mostly cloudy, only in some places with light rain. Elsewhere fair to mostly cloudy while along the coast of the South and Central Adriatic fine to fair.
