SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from northern Europe toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 30, and in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon NE winds will diminish a little and it will turn briefly to N and NW 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open up to 4, in the North Adriatic possibly up to 5. Visibility above 20 km. Fair in the North and mostly clear in the rest of the Adriatic. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the night up to near gale force, and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. In the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic at first moderate, in places up to fresh NW winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the North Adriatic possibly up to rough. Mostly clear, but in the North, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic fine or fair.
