TODAY STILL LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OF NE UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low with frontal system is slowly shifting across the South Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and N winds 10-20, in places south of Istria up to 24 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 4-14, turning toward the end of the day to NE, in the open sea to NW, 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the northern part, south of Istria, 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with occasional rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and Central Adriatic. Partial clearing late in the day.

Mostly clear, still with some clouds lingering in places at first. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds. Elsewhere light to moderate NE, toward the open NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the northern part possibly up to moderate. A little warmer through the day.
