ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE and N WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT OF NE UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low with frontal system is slowly shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and N winds 10-20, south of Istria up to 24 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 4-14, in places during the forenoon up to 18 knots, turning toward the end of the day to NE, in the open sea to NW winds. Sea 2-3, in the open of the northern part, south of Istria, 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and cooler with occasional rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and Central Adriatic. Partial clearing late in the day.

Light to moderate, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong NE, toward the open sea NW and N winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the northern part up to moderate. Fine or fair, still with a risk of scattered rain.
