IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN NORTHERN DALMATIA FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE MORNING.

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel in the morning still up to 24 knots. Elsewhere N and NW winds 6-16, locally in the open during the day still up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open during the day and in the Velebit Channel in the morning possibly 3-4. Visibility 10 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the morning still variably cloudy in places with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel during the night up to strong NE winds. Elsewhere light to moderate NW, turning during the night to NE winds, strengthening possibly in northern Dalmatia up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the Velebit Channel possibly up to moderate during the night.
