SYNOPSIS

A frontal system is expected to shift across the Adriatic southeastwards, giving way to a ridge of high pressure to intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 6-16, strengthening to 12-24 knots and gradually turning from the middle of the day to NW, firstly in the North Adriatic. Sea 2-3, increasing in the open to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and cooler with rain, showers and thunder in places.
