SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SW, in the open of South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 4-14 knots, diminishing and dying away toward the end of the day. During the night in the North Adriatic SE winds strengthening to 6-16, elsewhere mainly calm or NE winds 4-8 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic late in the night 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic today moderate cloud increase and a little risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder.

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic cloud increase with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder in the morning. In the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic, light to moderate, in the open of the North Adriatic up to fresh SE winds in the morning. Elsewhere mainly calm or light NE winds. Sea smooth, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to slight.
