SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 8-18, in the South and Central Adriatic up to 26, diminishing late in the day and during the night to 6-16 knots. In the North, during the night along the coast of the rest of the Adriatic as well, NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, diminishing during the night. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic possibly up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
