SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 8-18, only in places up to 26 knots, mainly in the Velebit Channel. Elsewhere NW winds 12-24, along the coast this morning still NE 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central, and in the North Adriatic, possibly up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Mostly clear, but in places still variably cloudy with a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the south of the Adriatic. Light to moderate NE and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight.
