LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT OF N and NW WINDS, 35-40, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL OF NE UP TO 55 KNOTS. LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north toward the Adriatic, while some moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Along the coast of the rest of the Adriatic NE, in the open sea N and NW winds 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and in the open 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Partly clear, but during the forenoon, mainly in the North, and in the second part of the day in the South and Central Adriatic, a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic N and NW, in the Velebit Channel NE winds up to near gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Fine or fair, still with a risk of rain and thunder in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
