SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal system is shifting over the Adriatic towards the east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE wind 14-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots, temporarily diminishing in the afternoon to 10-20 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly SE and E winds 6-16 knots, at night turning to NE wind 14-26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic, at night also elsewhere 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, in places a risk of showers with thunder, mostly in the North and Central Adriatic.

Moderate to strong NE wind, in the Velebit Channel also of gale force. Sea slight and moderate. In the North Adriatic clearing up while in the South and Central Adriatic with variable cloudiness in places showers and thunder.
