FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH, THEN ALSO IN A SMALLER PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WIND 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 70 KNOTS. TOWARDS THE END OF THE DAY A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT ALSO IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with cold front is approaching from the north-west and tonight and tomorrow is slowly shifting over the Adriatic towards the south-east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE wind 4-12, in the afternoon locally in the open up to 16 knots while in the North Adriatic SE and SW winds reinforcing to 8-18 knots. Sea 1-2, in the afternoon mainly 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km, in places reduced to 2-4 km due to mist. Mostly clear. Towards the end of the day in the North, in the second part of the night also in a part of the Central Adriatic more intense cloud increase and in places showers with thunder. No change in the highest air temperatures or still a little higher.
