A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting from the northwest toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the northern part of the Adriatic SE and SW winds, 12-24 knots. In the North Adriatic from the end of the day NE winds 18-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. Sea 3-4, in the North Adriatic during the night possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic mostly clear.

Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, particularly in the North and Central Adriatic. Moderate to strong NE, in the North Adriatic up to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force, and locally in the open moderate to strong NW winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic possibly up to rough.
