A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, DURING THE FORENOON IN THE NORTH, LATE IN THE DAY IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC. IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened frontal disturbance will be shifting across the Adriatic, while a ridge of high pressure will be intensifying from the northwest during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW and SW, along the coast in the morning NE winds, 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear at first, but gradual cloud increase in the North Adriatic in the morning and in the rest of the Adriatic later on. A risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder. No significant change in air temperatures.

Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic mainly light. Sea smooth or slight, in the northern part up to moderate.
