IN THE OPEN SEA SOUTH OF ISTRIA LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN PLACES ALONG THE COAST OF NE WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS, DIMINISHING DURING THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL, TOMORROW IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AS WELL.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the west toward the North Adriatic, while a shallow trough over the South Adriatic is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the open sea south of Istria NW winds 12-26, in places along the coast NE 12-22, diminishing during the night in the North and Central, before the morning in the South Adriatic as well, to 5-15 knots. Sea along the coast 2-3, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 3-4, gradually calming during the night to 2-3. Visibility 20-30 km. Fine or fair.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Fine or fair, but in the North Adriatic during the forenoon, then in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, passing heavier cloud increase with scattered rain and isolated rain showers and thunder. In the morning mainly light to moderate, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to strong NE, around midday light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Air temperatures with no change or warming up a little.
