SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots, spreading from the North to the rest of the Adriatic. In the south of the Adriatic at first NW and SW winds 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic clearing, elsewhere mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the south of the Adriatic.

Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic at first still scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel at first up to gale force NE winds. In the open sea moderate to strong NW winds. Sea slight and moderate.
