SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of depression over the Adriatic is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 10-20, strengthening in the Central Adriatic, in the Bay of Kvarneriæ and south of Istria to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing in the open to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places possibly around 5 km due to mist. Fine or fair and hot. In the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the evening.

Moderate to strong SE winds, diminishing a little, and turning in places of the North Adriatic to moderate SW. Sea slight, locally in the open up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the North Adriatic.
