IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS, DIMINISHING IN THE AFTERNOON AND STRENGTHENING AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of a little raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW, along the coast during the night NE winds, 5-15 knots. In the Velebit Channel at first NE winds 12-20, diminishing in the afternoon to 6-14, and strengthening again during the night up to 18 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open of the South Adriatic and occasionally in the Velebit Channel, 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear and very warm, in places variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon.
