A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY ALONG THE COAST IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, MAINLY DURING THE FORENOON AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, WHEN THEY ARE POSSIBLE IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AS WELL.

SYNOPSIS

A field of a little raised air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while moist and unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel during the forenoon up to 24, diminishing toward midday and turning to NW and SW 4-10 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW winds 4-14, in the South late in the day up to 18 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North Adriatic in the morning, and in the South late in the day, 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in places along the coast variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the second part of the day. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Calm or light NE winds, only in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to fresh. Sea mainly smooth. Mostly clear with some more clouds in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic.
