IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE MORNING UP TO 50 KNOTS, AND DURING THE NIGHT POSSIBLY IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC AS WELL. AROUND MIDDAY AND IN THE AFTERNOON A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the northeast is intensifying a little over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel in the morning up to 28, turning toward the open sea around midday to NW winds 6-14, in the extreme south late in the day up to 18 knots. Sea 1-2, in the Velebit Channel and in the open in the afternoon 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, very warm and hot, around midday and in the afternoon moderate cloud increase and a little risk of isolated rain showers and thunder along the coast of the Central and South Adriatic.
