A ridge of high pressure from the northwest has intensified over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

THE NORTH ADRIATIC: NE and NW winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel during the forenoon still NE up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Fine or fair. THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC: NE winds 15-30, gradually diminishing during the day to 10-20 knots. In the open sea NW and N winds 15-25 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, and in the extreme south possibly up to 5 in the evening. Visibility 20 km. Clear skies.

Light to moderate NE and NW, in the open of the South Adriatic at first NW winds still up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic moderate, and in the extreme south possibly up to rough at first. Mostly clear.
