ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 80 KNOTS, DIMINISHING SOUTH OF ISTRIA TILL THE END OF THE DAY. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low with frontal disturbance is slowly shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 15-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 40, gradually diminishing south of Istria toward the end of the day to 10-20 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic SE and SW, late in the day briefly NW winds, 6-16, in places up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4, possibly up to 5, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20, in places 4-10 km due to rain. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, and more abundant precipitation. Air temperatures with no change in the North, but cooler in the rest of the Adriatic.

Elsewhere SE, along the coast of a part of the North Adriatic E winds, strengthening to moderate to fresh, before the morning up to strong. Sea slight, locally in the northern part of the Adriatic up to moderate.
