ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, DURING THE NIGHT TO 55, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 70 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-22, diminishing during the night to 6-16 knots. In the northern part of the Adriatic turning to NE winds 10-20 knots, firstly in the extreme north of the Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel, strengthening toward the end of the day to 14-28 knots and spreading to a part of the Central Adriatic. Sea 2-3, increasing in the North Adriatic late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, the less precipitation expected in the southern part. Air temperatures a little lower, in the South Adriatic with no significant change.

Overcast with rain, showers and thunder. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE, in the rest of the Adriatic up to fresh SE winds. Sea slight, in the northern part up to moderate.
