SYNOPSIS

A low with frontal disturbance is extending a trough toward the Adriatic and it is shifting along the Italian coast southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the North Adriatic NE winds, 8-18, in the South Adriatic at first SE up to 24 knots. In the evening SE winds diminishing to 4-14 knots and turning along the coast to NE. Sea calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Night and morning air temperatures a little lower.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Gradual clearing. In the northern part of the Adriatic light to moderate, only in the Velebit Channel up to strong NE, in the southern part moderate SE and E winds, dying away till the morning, and along the coast light NE winds. Sea calming to smooth, only in the Velebit Channel still up to slight.
