SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the North.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE, in the afternoon NW, west of Istria SE and SW winds, 6-16 knots. In the South and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic NE, toward the open sea N, in the afternoon NW winds as well, 12-22, in the open up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. In the South and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, toward the open sea in the first part of the night still NW winds, diminishing in the Central Adriatic till the morning to light to moderate. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic light, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate NE, south of Istria still NW winds at first. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
