IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, at first, and again during the night in the Velebit Channel, up to 24 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic NW winds 6-16, in the open in the afternoon briefly up to 20, gradually turning during the night to NE 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a little rain or isolated rain showers.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to fresh NE winds, gradually diminishing tomorrow morning. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to moderate. Night and morning air temperatures will drop a little.
