LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, DIMINISHING IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC AROUND MIDDAY AND IN THE CENTRAL LATE IN THE DAY. IN THE GULF OF TRIESTE GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, DIMINISHING AROUND MIDDAY. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over northern Italy, the North and Central Adriatic, is shifting eastwards and it is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-26, diminishing in the North Adriatic around midday and in the Central late in the day to 6-16 knots. In the Gulf of Trieste in the morning NE winds 12-26, diminishing around midday to 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South, during the forenoon in the North, and most of the day in the open of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly along the coast. Air temperatures a little lower.

Variably cloudy, still with a little rain during the night, mainly in the South Adriatic. In the North and Central Adriatic light, only in places up to moderate, and in the South Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds. Sea in the North and Central Adriatic smooth, in the South Adriatic slight and moderate.
