SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting north of the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is briefly intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-26, in places briefly up to 32, diminishing and dying away in the North and in a part of the Central, and turning in the rest of the Adriatic to NW winds and diminishing to 6-16, in the South Adriatic to 22 knots. Sea 3-4, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic calming to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still mainly cloudy with a little risk of rain at first.

In the North Adriatic cloud increase, elsewhere mostly clear. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE winds strengthening to light to moderate. Elsewhere light to moderate, in the South Adriatic up to strong NW, turning to NE winds and diminishing to light to moderate. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic up to moderate at first.
