IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, A LITTLE RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the northeast is extending over the Adriatic, while some moist air is circulating over the South Adriatic in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel possibly up to 20, diminishing and turning to NW 4-12, only in the Velebit still NE winds 4-14 knots. Elsewhere NW winds 4-8, strengthening to 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain.

Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a little risk of rain. In the open sea light to fresh NW, along the coast light to moderate NE, in the Velebit Channel possibly up to fresh. Sea smooth or slight.
