SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the northeast is intensifying a little over the Adriatic, while a shallow low still lies over the Central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, diminishing a little and strengthening again during the night. In the Central and South Adriatic SE winds 6-16, in the open sea up to 20, diminishing in the afternoon to 4-12 knots and turning in the evening to NW, along the coast to NE winds. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic 3-4, calming along the coast of the Central and South Adriatic during the night to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, but clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic still a risk of light scattered rain during the night.

Mostly clear, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy. In the morning light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE, around midday mainly moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Air temperatures a little lower.
