SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the North still lies over the Adriatic, while a shallow low is generating over the Western Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 25, and locally in the open SE winds 10-22 knots. Elsewhere SE winds 10-20, in the open sea up to 25, in places along the coast during the night NE 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, locally up to 4, mainly in the North Adriatic and in the open sea. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain in the North Adriatic.
