SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest, while a low over the Ionian Sea is gradually filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 18-32, in places up to 40, diminishing late in the night to 12-28 knots. Sea 3-4, locally up to 5, mainly in the open. Visibility 15-25 km. In the North and Central Adriatic mostly clear, in the South still variably cloudy today.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear with some clouds in places. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel during the night still up to near gale force NE winds, gradually diminishing in a part of the Central and South Adriatic tomorrow morning to light to moderate. Sea slight and moderate, during the night in the open of the North and of the extreme south of the Adriatic possibly up to rough, calming in a part of the Central and South Adriatic tomorrow morning to smooth and slight. Night and morning air temperatures will drop a little, daily ones will warm up a little.
