SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest, while a low over the Ionian Sea is gradually filling up and shifting southwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 18-32, in places up to 38, diminishing in the North Adriatic in the afternoon to 12-26 knots. Sea 3-4, locally up to 5, mainly in the open. Visibility 15-25 km. In the North and Central Adriatic mostly clear, in the South variably cloudy. No significant change in air temperatures.

Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic in the first part of the night still variably cloudy. Moderate to strong, in the South, at first in the Central Adriatic as well, near gale, in places up to gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South, at first of the Central Adriatic as well, up to rough.
