IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW, IN THE OPEN BRIEFLY DURING THE NIGHT OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL TOMORROW MORNING GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is approaching the Adriatic from West.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds strengthening to 12-22, in places of the North Adriatic up to 26, turning during the night to NW and rapidly diminishing to 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic late in the day and in the South in the evening, 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. fair or mainly cloudy with rain in places, particularly toward the end of the day and in the evening, when isolated rain showers and thunder are possible.

In the Central and South Adriatic at first still isolated rain showers and thunder, but clearing is expected till the morning, firstly in the northern part. Light to moderate NE and NW, in the Velebit Channel in the morning NE winds up to strong. Morning air temperatures a little lower.
