A shallow trough from the Mediterranean over the Adriatic is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW, in places along the coast and in the North Adriatic NE winds, 5-15, and in the open of the Central and South Adriatic NW up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 15-25 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear. In the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers.

Light to moderate NE and NW, in the open of the South Adriatic NW winds up to fresh in places. In the Velebit Channel moderate to strong NE winds, diminishing. Sea smooth or slight, only in the open of the extreme south up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of rain in places.
