IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS, PARTICULARLY TOMORROW. IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC TODAY AND TOMORROW AROUND MIDDAY STILL A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A low over southern Italy is slowly filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 5-15, increasing to 10-20 knots. In places along the coast NE winds 4-14, in the South Adriatic up to 18, and in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North Adriatic mostly clear, in the Central clearing, and in the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Mostly clear. Along the coast of the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a little risk of a rain shower around midday. Light to moderate, in the open sea up to fresh NW winds. In places along the coast light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel moderate to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open sea and in the North Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
