SYNOPSIS

A low centred over the Ligurian Sea is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the Central and South Adriatic SE and E winds 5-15, in the open sea up to 20, strengthening in the evening and during the night to 15-25, in the open up to 30 knots. In the North, during the night in a part of the Central Adriatic, NE winds gradually strengthening to 15-30, in the Velebit Channel during the night up to 40 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and with a risk of thunder.
