SYNOPSIS

A shallow field of low pressure over the Adriatic is gradually filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 15-25, in the Velebit Channel up to 35 knots, diminishing in the afternoon. In the open sea of the South Adriatic SE and SW winds 6-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic 4-5, gradually calming in the afternoon. Visibility 15-25 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, in the Velebit Channel with snow in the morning.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic partial clearing, elsewhere variably cloudy, still with a risk of light scattered rain. Along the coast light, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate NE, in the open sea light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. A little colder.
