IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 45-90 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-60 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN INCREASING TO 5-6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY THROUGH THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

A new deep low is approaching the Adriatic from the West.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 24-38, in the Velebit Channel up to 48 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 16-34, in the open sea in the evening SE up to 40 knots. Sea 4, increasing in the open to 5-6. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the evening. Along the coast of the North Adriatic a chance of sleet and snow.

Overcast with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in places along the coast of the North Adriatic with a chance of snow. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic near gale and gale force, in places up to storm force NE winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and gale force SE, turning briefly in the open before the morning to SW winds and diminishing slowly. Sea moderate and rough, locally in the open up to very rough.
