GUSTS OF SE WINDS EXPECTED FROM MIDDAY, REACHING 30-40, IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 55 KNOTS, AND SEA UP TO 5. IN THE EXTREME NORTH AND WEST OF ISTRIA DURING THE NIGHT GUSTS OF NE and E WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over the western Mediterranean is extending a trough toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 8-18, from midday to 12-24 knots. Along the coast at first still mainly NE winds 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Cloud increase with rain, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, then elsewhere as well, and in the wider area of Rijeka with a little risk of snow. Morning air temperatures a little lower, daily ones a little higher.

Mainly cloudy with rain, from the middle of the night with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Moderate to strong SE winds, strengthening from the middle of the night to strong and gale force. In the extreme north and west of Istria moderate SE winds, turning to NE and E and strengthening to moderate and strong. Sea slight and moderate, in the second part of the night up to rough.
