In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic gusts of NE wind 35-50, in the Velebit Channel up to 70 knots, elsewhere in the beginning gusts of SE, in the evening of NE while in the open of N and NW winds 35-50 knots. Sea locally in the open 5. Thunder storms in places, mainly in the South Adriatic.

SYNOPSIS

The cyclone centred over southern Italy is shifting towards east.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE wind 15-30, at the foot of Velebit up to 40 knots while in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still in the beginning SE wind 12-28, at night turning to NE, in the open to N and NW winds 8-18, locally up to 28 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open possible to be 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly cloudy with scattered rain, showers and thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic.
