During the morning in the South and in a smaller part of the Central Adriatic local gusts of SE winds, 30-40 knots and local thunder storms.

SYNOPSIS

A vast field of low pressure is staying over the Adriatic, while a weakened frontal system is shifting eastwards over the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a major part of the Central Adriatic NW winds, along the coast NE winds, 6-16 knots, during the morning in the open sea South of Istria locally up to 20, at the end of the day wholly diminishing. Elsewhere SE winds, 12-28 knots, in the afternoon NW winds, 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic 3-4, during the night in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic calming to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mostly clear, during the night cloudy. Elsewhere variably cloudy with local rain, during the morning still locally thunder showers, in the South Adriatic in places a risk of more abundant precipitations.

Variably cloudy, in the Central and South Adriatic locally light rain. Mostly calm, or light NW winds, along the coast also NE winds, in the second part of the night in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic again SE winds, increasing to moderate to fresh. Sea smooth, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic slight.
