IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT GUSTS OF NE WINDS 40-70, IN PLACES UP TO 90 KNOTS, DIMINISHING IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC TOMORROW. SEA LOCALLY DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING UP TO 5, MAINLY IN THE OPEN. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A trough with cold front will be shifting rapidly across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 10-20, in places up to 25, west of Istria S and SW 6-16 knots. In the North Adriatic toward the end of the day and elsewhere during the night, NE and N winds strengthening to 18-34, briefly up to 45 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, locally during the night and tomorrow morning up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic, heavier cloud increase with rain, showers and thunder, along the coast with a chance of wind drifted snow. Significantly colder during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and gale force, in places briefly up to storm force NE winds, diminishing in the North, tomorrow morning in the Central Adriatic as well, to light to moderate. Sea slight and moderate, locally up to rough, calming in the North, then in the Central Adriatic later on to smooth and slight. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, in places along the coast with a chance of snow, mainly in the southern part of the Adriatic. Partial clearing is expected in the North, toward the morning in the greater part of the Central, and later on in the rest of the Adriatic.
