SYNOPSIS

A frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic, but a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify from the Northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Wind turning to NW 6-16, from midday to NE and NW 14-28, toward the open sea, south of Istria, during the night up to 36 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear and rather warm, but in the morning still variably cloudy with a little risk of light scattered rain.

Moderate to strong NE, in the open sea near gale and gale force NW winds. In the open south of Istria, sea increasing to moderate and rough. Mostly clear, but in the open variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain. Air temperatures expected to drop significantly.
